Vihiga United leapfrogged Wazito and KCB to settle at second place after a 0-1 win over Palos in a match played on November 15, 2017, at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Captain Patrick Okullo led by example, tucking in a second-half goal from the penalty spot after a cagey opening half that ended in a stalemate

The win sees Vihiga leap to second on the log with 74 points, one less than league leaders Ushuru. Wazito is third with 74 points, similar to Vihiga United but with an inferior goal difference, while KCB is fourth with 73 points.

All the four sides have a chance to gain promotion to next year’s top tier league, with only two matches left.
