Vihiga Queens maintained their place at the top of the FKF Women Premier League following their 3-2 win over Trans Nzoia Falcons on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Kenyatta Stadium Kitale.

Janet Moraa opened the scores in the 23rd minute giving Vihiga Queens an early lead with Topister Situma adding the second goal in the 42nd minute giving closing the first half at 2-0.

Upon resumption, Trans Nzoia Falcons came in with an urge to quench their thirst for goals with Violet Nanjala pulling one through Vihiga Queen’s defense in the 51st minute.

This was however short-lived as Vihiga Queens Tereza Engesha’s netted the third goal in the 65th minute.

Trans Nzoia Falcons managed to bag their second goal through Joan Naliaka in the 72nd minute. However, their attempts to equalize the scores fell naught as the final scores read 3-2 in favor of Vihiga Queens.

Thika Queens also managed a 3-0 win against Mathare United Women and is ranked first in the FKF Women Premier League Zone A with 21 points, six clear of second-placed Ulinzi Starlets who overwhelmed Zetech Sparks 5-1 at the Stima Members Club
