Stakes will be high as the top four sides, Ushuru, KCB, Wazito and Vihiga United will all be in action in FKF National Super league matches slated for Saturday November 4, 2017 and Sunday November 5, 2017.
Vihiga United, fresh from a fourth-place finish in the 2017 GOtv Shield, will host MOSCA at the Mumias Sports Complex. Vihiga got a 1-0 win over hard fighting FC Talanta in their last match played on October 15, 2017. The hosts are fourth on the log, seven points behind league leaders Ushuru, but with a match in hand. MOSCA on the other hand, is bottom of the log with 15 points from 31 matches.
Ushuru will face Nairobi City Stars on Saturday November 4, 2017 at Camp Toyoyo. The taxmen edged out FC Talanta 2-0 in their last match at the same venue, courtesy of goals by Fan Ngaira and Benson Amianda. City Stars meanwhile, lost 2-0 to Bidco United in a match preceding the FC Talanta-Ushuru clash, despite hitting the woodwork on two occasions. A win will cement Ushuru’s place at the top of the log while a loss for Nairobi City Stars could see 10th placed Kibera Black Stars catch up with them.
Second placed KCB will be on the road to face Isibania at the Awendo Stadium. KCB got a 3-1 win over Administration Police in their last match and will be looking forward to a win to keep up with league leaders Ushuru. Isibania on the other hand was held to a 1-1 draw by Kibera Black Stars. The team is ranked 11th with 37 points from 31 matches.
Nakuru All Stars
Modern Coast Rangers will also be up against Nakuru All Stars at the Mbaraki Sports Club. The hosts will be looking to build up on a 2-0 win over GFE 105 in their last match at the same venue. Nakuru All Stars will also not be easy pushovers, having edged out St Joseph Youth 1-0 in a Nakuru derby staged at the Afraha Stadium in midweek.
At the Thika sub county Stadium, Bidco United will be hosting Palos FC. The hosts have won two matches in a row over FC Talanta and Nairobi City Stars. Sixth placed Palos will also be out to extend a two-match winning streak, after consecutive wins over Nairobi City Stars an MOSCA.
Kibera Black Stars
Kibera Black Stars will travel to Nakuru to face St Joseph Youth, fresh from a convincing 1-0 win over fifth placed Nairobi Stima at the Hope Center in Kawangware. Black Stars have since risen to 10th on the log with 39 points from 31 matches. St Joseph Youth meanwhile, will be hoping to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Nakuru All Stars in midweek.
Two matches will be played on Sunday November 5, 2017. Nairobi Stima will host Kenya Police at the Karuturi Grounds in Naivasha while at Camp Toyoyo, Wazito will face Agro Chemical.
