Vihiga United easily brushed aside Administration Police 5-0 in one of five matches played today, Sunday July 30, 2017, to go four points clear at the top of the FKF National Super League

Kenya Police also dimmed GFE 105 2-1 in Eldoret, while the return match pitting Wazito against KCB ended in a stalemate. Ushuru also laboured to a 3-2 win over Bidco United on Saturday

Vihiga United, fresh from a convincing 3-2 win over Ushuru in midweek, raced into an early 2-0 lead courtesy of goals by Patrick Okullo and Lucas Weitere. In the second half, Keiphas Barasa, Charles Okwemba and Clyde Senaji added their names to the scoresheet to sum up a bad day in office for the law enforcers

In the succeeding match played at the same venue, Wazito was held to a stalemate by KCB. Wazito, coming on the back of a last gasp defeat to Kenya Police in midweek, were looking to dispatch their opponents as was the case in the first leg, but KCB remained resolute, albeit losing ground in their promotion push. Wazito has since dropped to fourth with 39 points while KCB is fifth with 36 points

Kenya Police also made it four wins on the bounce with a 2-1 win over GFE 105 in Eldoret. This was a second loss in a row for GFE after being felled 1-0 by Kibera Black Stars in midweek. The latter went on to hold Agro Chemicals to a 0-0 draw in a match played yesterday, Saturday July 29, at the Chemelil Sports Complex. The win sees Police rise to seventh on the log with 28 points while GFE 105 drops to ninth with 26 points

Meanwhile, St Joseph Youth couldn’t master a way past a resurgent Nairobi City Stars, the game ending 1-1. Modern Coast Rangers also narrowly edged out visiting FC Talanta 1-0 at the Mbaraki Sports Club

Ushuru, Nairobi Stima

Earlier, on Saturday, July 29, Ushuru kept the pressure on the leading pack with a 3-2 win over a stubborn Bidco United. The win was enough for Ushuru to move to second on the log with 40 points, similar to third placed Nairobi Stima. The taxmen, however, have a superior goal difference. Nairobi Stima lost footing when they dropped two more points in their match against Palos, as was the case in their last match against Nairobi City Stars
