Eldoret Falcons retained their place at the top of the FKF Women Premier League with a 2-4 win away to Kayole Starlets on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

A brace apiece by Janet Bundi and Ascar Chepleting saw Falcons master their sixth win out of nine matches. Audrey Kasei and Lavender Atieno were on target for Kayole Starlets.

Thika Queens had earlier on Saturday leaped to the top after a 2-1 win over Vihiga Queens at the Thika Stadium. Catherine Wangechi and Vivian Kwamboka were on target for the Thika-based side with Vivian Makokha’s second-half strike for the guests only serving as a mere consolation.

In Mombasa, Spedag picked up four points from two matches. The Freighters edged out Makolanders 3-1 before playing out a 2-2 draw with Mathare United Women.

The latter edged out Mombasa Olympic 4-0 in their second match of the weekend while Makolander’s second also saw them return home with a 1-0 win over struggling Mombasa Olympic.

Gaspo Youth also played two matches over the weekend. The newly promoted side edged out Vihiga Leeds 3-1 at the Mumias Sports Complex on Saturday before running over struggling Baringo Starlets 8-1 on Sunday at the EldamaRavine Stadium.
