Gaspo Youth edged past Thika Queens 4-3 at the Ruiru Grounds in one of three FKF Women Premier League matches played on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Elizabeth Wambui struck a freekick to get Gaspo Youth underway before Fauzia Omar netted an own goal to double the hosts’ advantage. Salome Akoth, however, struck one back for Thika Queens for a 2-1 halftime score.

Upon resumption, Harambee Starlets wingback Wincate Kaari came back to haunt her former teammates when she netted two goals. Late strikes by Thika Queens duo of Mwanahalima Adam and Nuru Hadima were not enough to salvage a point.

At the Oserian Grounds in Naivasha, hosts Oserian Ladies played out a 1-1 draw with Kisumu All Starlets. Bertha Omita had gotten Kisumu All Starlets on the front foot in the 35th minute but the hosts got back level minutes before halftime through Leila Apiyo.

Vihiga Leeds, meanwhile, failed to honor their match against Makolanders which had been slated for the Camp Toyoyo Grounds at 1 pm.
