Kenyan Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia will face off with Yanga in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup group stages on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, starting 7 pm.

This comes on the back of a 4-0 win over the same side in the first leg tie played on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani under floodlights. A strike by Jacques Tuyisenge, coupled with an own goal by Haji Mwinyi and a brace by Ephrem Guikan saw Kógallo cement second place in Group D with five points from three matches, only two points shy of leaders USM Alger and three clear of third-placed Rayon Sports.

Lineup

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr will welcome the return to action of his regular players who were rested in their 3-1 midweek FKF SportPesa Shield match against Posta Rangers at the MISC Kasarani. Kevin Omondi, who was involved in all the three goals, has also been drafted into the starting team with Samuel Onyango also set to start.

Kógallo will be hoping for a positive result to keep alive their dream of a maiden spot in the CAF Confederations Cup knockout spot. An away match against USM Alger and a home fixture against Rayon Sports also awaits the KPL league leaders, with the top two teams set to proceed to the quarterfinals.
