All the 20 FKF Branches have, by the turn of the year, held public participation forums on the 2019/2020 FKF Electoral Code ahead of repeat elections to be held within the first trimester of 2020.

In its ruling, while nullifying the FKF Branch Elections, the Sports Disputes Tribunal cited, among other factors, inadequate public participation on the Electoral Code.

FKF consequently extended an invite to its Branches, Kenyan Premier League, FKF National Super League, Division One League, and Women Premier League Clubs, as well as Kenyan footballers, referees, and coaches’ associations to engage on the amended Electoral code.

The Branches, after successful deliberation on the code with their members, forwarded their recommendations to the FKF Ag. General Secretary, Barry Otieno.

These submissions will further be deliberated upon by the National Executive Committee (NEC), which will then propose a final document to a Special General Meeting (SGM), in January, for adoption.

The NEC will also propose an Electoral Board, which, as well as the Electoral Code, will be up for a vote at the SGM. If passed, the Board will henceforth be mandated with conducting the repeat elections.
