Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa has on Monday, August 27, 2018, officially rolled out a five-day Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical Directors course in Nairobi, Kenya.
The opening ceremony was graced by FIFA Head of Technical Development Services Nepfer Jurg as well as CAF Director of Development Raul Chipenda and FIFA expert Ashford Mamelodi.
“The Technical Department remains key in football development. This workshop thus, comes at an opportune time when football in Kenya is undergoing positive transformation aimed at ensuring the country’s success both at the national, regional and international level,” said FKF president Nick Mwendwa.
“It is thus our strong belief that this workshop will equip our TD’s with the necessary knowledge and technical know-how to impart knowledge to several coaches who, regrettably, were not offered such opportunities in the past,” he reiterated.
The workshop has brought together 14 English-speaking Member Associations, represented by their respective Technical directors with an aim of discussing their roles and mandates in football development.
