The Kenya U20 national team safely arrived in Arusha, Tanzania, on Saturday, November 21, 2020, in time for their opening match of the 2020 CECAFA U20 Championships.
The Rising Stars play Ethiopia in their opening match of the tourney slated for Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium starting 1 pm.
The team held a recovery training session today evening at the International School of Moshi (ISM) and are staying at the Charity Hotel in Arusha.
“We’re here to better our runner’s up finish in the 2019 edition. Kenya has never qualified for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations and I feel this could be our best opportunity to achieve the feat,” said coach Okumbi.
Kenya has been pooled in Group C of the tournament alongside Ethiopia and Sudan.
