Kenya Police Bullets tighten their hold on the FKF Women’s Premier League title chase following a 4-0 victory against Nakuru City Queens in a match played on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Police Sacco Stadium.

Purity Alukwe stole the spotlight with a stunning hat-trick, netting her first two goals in quick succession in the 9th and 13th minutes of the match, while Mercy Njeri added a third just 10 minutes later, ensuring their team went into halftime with a comfortable lead.

The second half was more subdued, only one goal was scored in the 65th minute allowing Purity Alukwe to complete her hat-trick.

Meanwhile, title contenders Vihiga Queens maintained their momentum in the league with a 3-0 victory over Bunyore Starlets. Tumaini Waliaula’s brace in the first half and Mukalo Providence’s goal in the second half secured the win for Vihiga Queens.

In other matches, Wadadia secured a narrow victory with a solitary goal from Chesang’ Jackline against Zetech Sparks, while Bungoma Queens climbed out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Soccer Assassins.

Kenya Police Bullets currently lead the standings with 43 points followed by Vihiga Queens – with two games in hand – and Ulinzi Starlets with 34 and 29 points respectively. The FKF WPL will now take a 2 week break to make way for FKF Women’s Cup quarter finals set to take place on April 20 and 21st, 2024.
