Gor Mahia is poised for coronation this weekend as the 2023/24 season nears its conclusion.

Having secured their 21st title in round 31, Kogalo has amassed 70 points from 33 matches so far. They will face Bidco United at Machakos Stadium in their final fixture.

Tusker FC and Kenya Police have secured second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, the focus shifts to the relegation battle, with Nzoia Sugar already relegated; Sofapaka, Muhoroni Youth, and Shabana are vying to avoid the dreaded drop.

Currently, Sofapaka occupies the relegation playoff spot, two points behind Shabana who are in 15th place with 35 points. Muhoroni Youth are in the dreaded 17th place with 31 points.

Sofapaka will host Nzoia Sugar as Muhoroni Youth host Posta Rangers, and Shabana will face Murang’a Seal in their crucial final matches.

The race for the golden boot has heat up over recent weeks, with John Mark Makwata pulling himself into contention with 15, only behind leader Benson Omalla on 17 goals and Tito Okello with 16 goals.

As the 2023/24 season of FKF PL draws to a close, all eyes are on Gor Mahia for their imminent coronation. While they celebrate their championship, the battle at the other end of the table will be intense. The last matchday is sure to provide some intrigue.
