Murang’a Seal emerged victorious today by defeating Naivas FC with a score of 2-1, allowing them to leapfrog Shabana FC and claim the top position in the table.

The match between the two teams was highly entertaining, with chances created by both sides. Naivas FC’s coach, Elvis Ayani, acknowledged his team’s mistakes that contributed to their loss while also recognizing the strength of their opponents. Murang’a Seal took the lead in the 14th minute through their captain, John Kiplangat. However, Ken Mutembei of Naivas FC managed to equalize in the 18th minute. Fabian Adikiny then secured the winning goal for Murang’a Seal in the 23rd minute.

Currently, Murang’a Seal leads the National Super League standings by a single point ahead of Shabana FC. Shabana FC, with two games in hand, will be aiming to capitalize on those opportunities to regain the top spot. Murang’a Seal’s coach, Vincent Nyaberi, expressed his determination to push his team to fight for the title until the end of the season. In the race for a promotion play-off spot to the FKF Premier League, Mara Sugar is now level on points with third-placed Migori Youth FC. Mara Sugar maintained their momentum by defeating visitors Kajiado FC with a 4-0 victory.
