KCB and Western Stima kept up the pressure on league leaders Ushuru with wins over Kangemi All-Stars and Kibera Black Stars respectively.
Kevin Monyi scored the lone goal as Western Stima edged out Black Stars 1-0 at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu to see the Powermen consequently maintain second place on the log with 46 points, two shy of league leaders Ushuru.
KCB, on the other hand, dispatched Kangemi All-Stars 2-1 in the second of a LIVE doubleheader played at Camp Toyoyo. A Martin Nderitu thunderbolt in the 21st minute gave the Bankers a 1-0 halftime lead that would be doubled in the 81st minute courtesy of a strike by second-half substitute Simon Abuko. KCB goalkeeper Zamu Adisa would then mishandle and easy ball by Gideon Abucheri to hand Kangemi All-Stars a consolation.
Nairobi Stima, meanwhile, was slowed down by a hard fighting FC Talanta in the first match of the day that ended 2-2. Washington Gichovi and Victor Ndinya were on target for Stima, while FC Talanta’s goals were scored by Hussein Seir and Isaack Sadaam.
Kenya Police also played out a 1-1 draw with hosts Isibania while Nakuru All-Stars edged out GFE 105 2-0 at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
