Football Kenya Federation will on Friday, September 28, 2018, conduct a one-day Physical Endurance Test (PET) for 37 referees who have been shortlisted to take charge of select FIFA assignments for the 2019 season.
While disclosing the shortlist, FKF NEC Member for Nyanza Region Joseph Andere noted that the referees will be taken through a couple of endurance and agility drills to ascertain whether they are physically fit.
“The PET is aimed at ensuring that the proposed match officials are in proper physical shape in time for the upcoming 2019 season,” said Mr. Andere, who heads the FKF Referees Committee.
“As a federation, we remain committed to progressively improving the level of officiating in the country as it forms an integral part of the game,” he added.
The session will be held at the MISC Kasarani warmup track starting 6 am.
Among new additions to the FIFA roster, include Badir Yassin, Dickens Mimisa, Elizabeth Njoroge, Beatrice Oganga, and Judith Muhonja.
