Football Kenya Federation has on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, kicked off a three-day Referees Performance Endurance Test (PET) ahead of the 2018/2019 season.

The PET, set to be conducted at the MISC Kasarani warmup track, will see Center Referees and their Assistants taken through mandatory endurance and agility drills to test their physical ability. Medical tests will also be conducted to ascertain whether they are fit to officiate.

“This exercise entails assessing the physical preparedness of the referees ahead of the 2018/2019 season,” said FKF Referees Manager Sylvester Kirwa.

“We will also take them through theory classes to get them up to speed with the amendments to the Laws of the Game,” he added.

280 officials will take part in the exercise ahead of the 2018/2019 season which is set to kick off on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
