The stage is set for the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Nyanza Region finals set to be played on Saturday, February 9, and Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Four girls’ teams and four boys’ teams will face off in the semifinals on Saturday, with the respective winners set to contest the final on Sunday.
Nyamira Springs (Nyamira) will be up against Victoria Springs (Kisii) in the first boys’ semi, with Nyamaharaga (Kuria) set to face Manyatta (Kisumu) in the other semi.

In the girls’ category, Manyatta Girls (Kisumu) will face off with Kisii United (Kisii) with Migori Education Center set to battle it out with NCEOD Queens (Homabay) in the other semi.
Ngakaa Talent Academy
Eastern Region, meanwhile, will see second-round games in Makueni sub-branch kick off, with matches set to be played at the Sultan Hamud school. Attention will be on Ngakaa Talent Academy, the reigning Eastern region girls’ champions, as they seek to parade their Makueni title against St. Mary’s Ndovea and Kikima School.
Tumaini School, Matiliku Boys, Makutano and Mbooni Boys will be seeking the boys’ title. Tumaini School won it in the last edition but were later disqualified for fielding ineligible players.
Boys and Girls winners at Makueni will join others from the Mwingi, Kitui, and Machakos for the branch finals to be played next weekend.
Mwingi Junior Stars
Last weekend Eastern region champions Mwingi Junior Stars were dethroned after failing to retain their Mwingi sub-branch title. They lost out to Silico who will be joined in the branch finals by Riverbank Starlets.
Others qualified teams for the same include; Scottlanders (boys) and Katoloni Ladies from Machakos, and Utoo FC (boys) and Kitui Ladies from Kitui.
In Embu, Triumph, Crushers FC of Runyenjes and 3K of Embu will contest the Embu boys title as Black Cats, White Feathers also from Runyenjes and Manchester Ladies seek the girls’ version.
In Mbeere, Riandu and Santos will go face to face for the boys’ title to join the already qualified Nthingirani Queens.
At the same time games will be activated in Tharaka sub-branch across four venues.
Rift Valley
The South Rift region, in the meantime, will conduct its second round games where sub-branch winners will be sought in Bomet, Narok as well as Trans Mara.
