It was in the 90th minute that Eric Otieno became the hero for Tusker, scoring a crucial goal that sealed their place in the final. Otieno’s well-timed header from the near post caught Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper Ricks Omondi off guard, propelling the Brewers to a hard-fought victory.
Meanwhile, in the other thrilling semi-final held at Nyayo Stadium, Kakamega Homeboyz defeated AFC Leopards with a 2-1 scoreline. Moses Shummah broke the deadlock for Kakamega Homeboyz in the 31st minute, followed by Kevin Amwayi’s goal just a minute later.
Despite Cliff Nyakeya’s late consolation goal for AFC Leopards in the 90th minute, the final whistle signaled the end of the match, with the scores closing at 2-1.
