AFC Leopards’ talented winger, Jaffari Owiti, has donated goods worth Ksh 100,000 to the Don Bosco Boys Centre in Karen, Nairobi. This noble act was made possible through a humanitarian cheque awarded to him by the leading gaming firm, Mozzart Bet.

Owiti received the cash prize from Mozzart Bet after leading his team to the semifinals of the 2022/2023 Mozzart Bet Cup. In the quarterfinal match against Bandari, Owiti scored a goal and won a penalty, earning him the well-deserved man of the match title.

Accompanied by his teammates Maxwell Mulili and Musa Oundo, Owiti handed over a basket of essential food items and other necessities to support the boys’ center. The Don Bosco Boys Centre provides care and education for children picked from the streets. Owiti took the opportunity to encourage the youngsters, emphasizing the importance of discipline and focusing on their dreams.

During the donation, Owiti shared, “If you want anything in life, you have to be disciplined, whether it’s in the classroom or on the field. Discipline is crucial and will set you apart in the pursuit of your dreams. Don’t dwell on your past or current circumstances, but remain focused on the prize ahead. I will always be available to offer support and help to those who aspire to follow a similar path like mine.”

Father Erastus Chege, a key figure at the center, expressed his gratitude to Owiti and Mozzart Bet for their kind gesture. He acknowledged that the donation would greatly contribute to fulfilling the center’s needs. Father Chege further highlighted the Don Bosco Boys Centre’s mission of rehabilitating street kids and providing them with education opportunities.

Mozzart Bet’s community manager, Cyprian Aluda, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting communities through their Corporate Social Responsibility programs. He emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Aluda stated, “We are proud to be part of a movement that supports and nurtures the talents of less fortunate children through our CSR program. Children are our future, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the support they need to succeed. Let us all join hands and support this noble cause by giving generously and spreading awareness about the importance of nurturing young talent.

Owiti is among the recipients of the Mozzart Bet Cup Man of the Match award, including Michael Oduor (Tusker), Boniface Muchiri (Ulinzi Stars), and Hillary Otieno (Kakamega Homeboyz).
