Gor Mahia launched their 2023/24 campaign in style, clinching the FKF Charity Shield title after a 4-2 penalty shootout against Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the MISC Kasarani. The game had concluded 1-1 at the end of regular play.
