FC Talanta managed to secure a 1-1 draw with Shabana in their FKF Premier League Round 2 match at Nyayo Stadium on Friday, September 1, 2023.

The first half witnessed both teams failing to find the back of the net. However, the second half saw a change in tempo, with both sides striving to gain the upper hand.

In the 90th minute, Kevington Machika netted for FC Talanta, increasing the pressure on Shabana. Nevertheless, the visitors remained composed, and seconds later, Justine Omwando scored the equalizer, sending the fans into a frenzy. The match concluded with a 1-1 scoreline.

Over at Police Sacco Stadium, Kenya Police had a tough day as Posta Rangers bagged a  3-0 victory. Curtis Wekesa opened the scoring for the Mailmen in the 6th minute, with Jackson Macharia adding another goal in the 77th minute. Brian Otieno sealed the deal with his goal in the 90th minute.

Bandari secured their first away win at Kasarani Annex, defeating Sofapaka 1-0 with Umaru Kasumba finding the back of the net in the 2nd minute.

At Kasarani Main Stadium, Derrick Otanga’s solitary goal in the 78th minute secured a victory for KCB against AFC Leopards.

Meanwhile, at Muhoroni Stadium, Muhoroni Youth and Nzoia Sugar played to a 1-1 draw. Dan Wafula scored for the Millers in the 38th minute, and Collins Odhiambo converted from the spot just before half-time to equalize.

Three more matches are scheduled for Saturday, featuring Tusker against Kariobangi Sharks, Murang’a Seal hosting Kakamega Homeboyz, and Ulinzi Stars facing Gor Mahia. On Sunday, Bidco United will take on Nairobi City Stars in the remaining fixture.
