Kakamega Homeboyz staged a comeback to secure a point against Gor Mahia in a match held at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Gor Mahia opened the scoring in the 9th minute of the match when Benson Omalla weaved past defenders and calmly slotted the ball into the net.

Shami Mwinyi, making his debut for Homeboyz after his return to the club, came off the bench and restored parity for Homeboyz in the 50th minute.

Meanwhile, at Ruaraka grounds, Nzoia Sugar faced off against Nairobi City Stars. Emmanuel Osoro struck early for the Millers, finding the back of the net in the 10th minute, and they successfully held onto their lead until halftime.

However, the second half saw a turnaround in fortunes for City Stars. Emmanuel Etemesi made his mark by scoring in the 50th minute. In the 62nd minute Makati capitalized on a rebound from a penalty initially missed by Kapeni.

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Stars finally secured their first victory of the season against Sofapaka, thanks to Bonface Muchiri’s free-kick in the 77th minute.

On the other hand, Murang’a Seal lost against Posta Rangers. The first half ended without either side managing to find the back of the net.

However, the pivotal moment arrived in the 58th minute when Patrick Otieno rose to meet a cross in the box, nodding it home with a powerful header that propelled the mailmen to victory.

FKF Premier resumes on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 with a midweek match up between Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB.
