Harambee Starlets proceed to the second round of the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers after beating Cameroon 4-3 on penalties on Tuesday, Saturday 26, 2023 at Nyayo Stadium.

The match ended 1-0 in favor of Harambee Starlets during regulation time. Cynthia Shilwatso’s free kick in the 81st minute found the back of the net tying the game 1-1 on aggregate score.

Annedy Kundu was instrumental saving a crucial penalty before Sheryl Angachi stepped up to score the winning penalty goal ensuring qualification to the second round.

Harambee Starlets will face either Gabon or Botswana in the second round, scheduled between November 27 and December 5, 2023.
