Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has named the starting lineup for the first of Kenya’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon.
The coach has handed Zambia-based defender Dennis Ng’ang’a a starting role at the heart of defense alongside Johnstone Omurwa. Ng’ang’a was a late inclusion following Joseph Okumu’s omission from the team due to injury.
Amos Nondi and Abud Omar will complement the two center-backs in defense.
In midfield, Anthony Akumu, Kenneth Muguna, and Richard Odada keep their places as it was in Harambee Stars’ last match against Russia.
Meanwhile, Michael Olunga, who keeps the captain’s armband, will lead the attack up front alongside Rooney Onyango and Masud Juma.
The match kicks off at 7 pm EAT
