Kibera Soccer Ladies secured their spot in the semi finals of the FKF Women’s Cup following their 3-0 victory against Bungoma Queens on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Dandora Stadium.

The first half saw Kibera take a two-goal lead, courtesy of strikes from Nancy Atako in the 24th minute and Lucky Achando in the 31st minute. Despite losing goalkeeper Lucy Kisaga to a red card in the 35th minute, Kibera Soccer maintained control, with Maximilla Robi sealing the win with a goal in the 79th minute.

Kibera Soccer Ladies will await the winner of the quarterfinal match between Kisiwa Starlets and Zetech Sparks to determine their semi-final opponent.

In the one o’clock kickoff, defending champions Ulinzi Starlets defeated FC Milima Queens 2-0, courtesy of goals from Everlyne Juma and Fasila Adhiambo’s penalty goal in the 26th and 43rd minutes respectively.

Later in the day, Kenya Police Bullets secured their place in the next round with a 4-1 victory over Kangemi Ladies. Lydia Akoth and Lucy Kwekwe found the net in the 26th and 40th minutes respectively granting their team a half time lead. The second half witnessed Lucy Kwekwe secure her brace with another 60th minute goal followed by Rebecca Okwaro’s strike in the 63rd minute setting up a semi-final clash against Ulinzi Starlets. Naomi Ongachi scored Kangemi Ladies’ sole goal in the 79th minute.

The last quarterfinal match of the FKF Women’s Cup will take place tomorrow, Sunday, April 21, 2024, as Kisiwa Starlets face off against Zetech Sparks at Sudi Stadium. Semi finals of the tournament will take place on May 4, 2024.
