Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is hosting an advanced two-day media relations workshop for media managers from the FKF Women’s Premier League and Women’s National Super League clubs kicking off today, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at MYSA Komarock.

The workshop is intended to build on the first edition that took place in October 2023. This second edition of the media workshop will have the same cohort of participants that were in attendance in the inaugural workshop. 25 participants are set to benefit.

This is a deliberate move, to ensure continuity and progression. By ensuring the participation of the same participants it enables facilitation of the integration of new learnings while reinforcing existing knowledge, thus maximizing the impact of the program.

This workshop aims to provide advanced knowledge in various aspects of digital media strategy, focusing on communications and media management, strategic planning, Artificial Intelligence in social media management, and marketing and commercialization.

Moving the Goal Posts communications officer, Gayleen Akinyi expressed her excitement towards the modules to be offered and its potential impact in their organization. She stated,

“What I’m excited about now is the strategic planning (module) and the implementation part of it, I want to really learn that and take it back to the club and organization at large and see how it will better improve the lives of the girls.”

The workshop is set to conclude tomorrow. Friday May 24, 2024.
